When you create an account: your name and email address. When you use the platform: your course progress, quiz answers, saved essays and writing exercises, vocabulary you've learned, and daily activity (used for streak tracking). We don't directly collect or store your payment card details — that's handled entirely by our payment processor, Paystack.
We don't sell your data. We do rely on a small number of third-party services to actually run the platform, and relevant data passes through them as part of normal operation:

| YouTube / Google Fonts | Some lessons embed YouTube videos, and the site loads fonts from Google Fonts — both may collect standard technical data (like your IP address) when those elements load, under Google's own privacy policy. |
We use your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark mode preference and to keep you signed in between visits. This stays on your device and isn't used for advertising or tracking across other websites.
Señor Ade is usable by learners of any age, including school-age students, often with a parent's involvement (for example, arranging private lessons). If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account or shared personal information without your permission, contact us and we'll address it.
You can ask us to see what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and associated data. Reach out using the contact info below and we'll handle it directly — there's no automated self-service tool for this yet.
We rely on Supabase's built-in security (including row-level access controls, so your data is only accessible to you) and standard practices like encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout the site. No system is 100% immune to risk, but we take reasonable, real steps to protect your information rather than treating this as a formality.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "last updated" date above. We'd encourage checking back occasionally, especially before sharing sensitive information.
